We have a little bit for everyone, and our instructors will give the modifications you need for your individual practice and your edge-challenge yourself and come and grow with us! It's recommended for students new to yoga to begin with Yoga Basics to become familiar with the poses and the breath-and then progress to Moving Meditation, Slow Flow and finally Vinyasa.
Yoga Basics-A class for those who can't touch their toes or just getting into yoga. Perfect for beginners and those who want to refine the basics. Through proper alignment & mindful actions of the body, Hatha Yoga brings balance, strength & a sense of well being to practitioner. Detailed instruction and personal attention with every student. A beginner's level class and for those who want to focus on alignment.
Mixed Level-Good for all levels, join us for this hatha yoga flow to get yourself moving. You can make it as cool or as challenging as you'd like. I like to call this class Chamomile & Cappuccino.....If you feel like taking it easy, stick with the chamomile cues, if you feel like kicking it up a notch or challenging yourself, go with cappuccino! We may even offer an extra shot of espresso if you're really spunky! So whatever mood you're in, chamomile & cappuccino is a sure fit to get your fill. A multi-level class, some experience a plus.
Slow Flow-Slow Flow is a mindful, slowly paced yoga class that incorporates conscious flowing of breath with movement of body. The challenge in the class is from awareness of movement that is slow and focused. Therefore, this class can be a welcome change for students who like a fast-flowing, more intermediate-level class as well. It includes focused and gentle opening of the body and spine, foundational yoga poses and sun salutations, attention to detail on breath and alignment, and some long holds for strength. Keen focus, concentration, control of breath, and determination are cultivated in Slow Flow.
Lotus Fusion Flow-Join us for the ultimate mind, body & spirit flow with Lotus Fusion-a beautiful blend of yin, slow flow and vinyasa to build up the energy of the body and the mind, finding transformation through movement. Tap into your most honest and true space through asana, breath work and meditation. End the class enjoying Reiki energy healing during Savasana!
Vinyasa - An advanced, faster paced flowing sequence connecting one breath and one movement, challenging your mind and body. Vinyasa classes maintain awareness and focus on the breath while moving through a series of postures. The sequence of postures may be different from class to class, but always follow an intelligent progression that moves from basic to complex. This style of yoga builds heat, flexibility and strength, while maintaining focus on good alignment and sound structure. Postures may be held for longer periods of time, and will flow together to unite the body to the breath and mind. Recommended for intermediate and advanced students.
Yin Yoga- Done mainly on the floor, Yin yoga works deeply into muscles and connective tissues through extended holds of grounded postures. These one-hour classes are great for those looking to restore flexibility and/or work deeply into joints and tissues that are “locked up” from past injuries or from repetitive motion. Yin yoga specifically targets the hips, pelvis and lower spine. The challenge from this class comes from staying deeply in a stretch for an extended period of time. The focus is less on strength building and more on restoration, de-stressing and relaxation. All levels welcome
Rebel Warrior-WARNING! This is not your average yoga class! If you don't like loud music with the likes of Foo Fighters and Led Zeppelin then this is NOT the class for you! Read more about Rebel Warrior here.
